Wow, Happy (belated) New Year! So, 2009, eh? This is the year that I graduate high school. You know, I've been doing this whole 'website' thing since around the 6th grade. At least, that's when I was introduced to it. I can't believe I've kept it up for this long and have come so far. Seriously, I started off in MatMice.com and the like. Oh, dude, I just checked the MatMice page (for old times sake) and apparently, it's closed down. Bummer.
Anyway, onto some more serious news, my cat is missing. She's been missing for about a week now, and I really miss her. She's been around since I was about 6 years old, so she's up there in age. Naturally, I'm worried about her. Hopefully we'll find her soon. I made signs for her. To be honest, I think my neighbors might have trapped her and hurt her - they've done it before to someone else's cat. Needless to say, they're not very nice people. So, if you could send a prayer or some good vibes our way, it would be appreciated.
I got a package yesterday from a friend in Africa. He sent me a t-shirt, a postcard, and this beautiful beaded neckalce. I'm going to take some photos of it, I think, and post them up here so you guys can see. It's really gorgeous. I think it's handmade. I'm going to send him a Nike hat and some paint brushes (he's an artist), some candy and necklaces for his sisters, and a headwrap for his mother. I love having penpals. Writing and receiving mail....there's something magical about it. I know I've said that before, but there is. Plus, it's definitely a way to cheer yourself up if you're down. :)
